HRH Prince Abdulmajeed Al-Saud

HRH Prince Abdulmajeed Al-Saud works for the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.  He graduated from Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts, in December 2014, where he pursued a joint degree in Political Science and International Affairs.  He became an Affiliate at the Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs at Harvard's Kennedy School of Government in 2015.

While at Northeastern, Prince Abdulmajeed earned the Dean’s List for the last three semesters, and completed a culminating thesis entitled, Fueling Stability: Peace, Prosperity, and Energy Policy in Saudi Arabia and Beyond.  In addition to this work, Prince Abdulmajeed’s article, Lethal Autonomous Robots:  A New Challenge to International Legal System, was published in the 2014 issue of Hemispheres, the Tufts University Journal of International Affairs.

Outside of the classroom, Prince Abdulmajeed served as President of Northeastern’s Saudi Arabian Student Organization (SASO).  In that capacity, he worked to increase awareness of Saudi culture, while at the same time leading efforts to expand the group’s membership and involvement in the school community.  In addition to SASO, Prince Abdulmajeed served as a Board Member on the Saudi Business Club, focusing his efforts on international recruitment of Saudi students at Northeastern.  In recognition of these efforts, he was inducted as a member of the “Huntington 100” for the academic year 2013-14, which is the highest honor bestowed upon students by Northeastern’s Center for Student Involvement.

Northeastern has further recognized Prince Abdulmajeed’s contributions to the community and his leadership potential by asking him to join the University’s “Young Global Leaders” program immediately following graduation. Prince Abdulmajeed has been a member of the National Council on U.S.-Arab Relations since 2013, where he was a founder and is currently a board member of the organization’s Emerging Leaders Committee.  He has been invited to a number of speaking engagements, and in March 2014 gave the keynote address at the opening ceremony of the Model Arab League at Georgetown.
