Dayton Coles

Dayton Coles was an attorney with a varied carrier that included years in legal services to the poor, legal services to the rich (estate planning), and vice president of business development at Zetachron, Inc., a pharmaceutical development company he helped found with two professors from Penn State.   Dayton retired in 1994 and since then has devoted considerable time as a volunteer with a number of charitable organizations, including the State College Friends School in State College, Pennsylvania, and JDRF (formerly, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) where he served for many years on the committee that reviewed and funded diabetes research grant applications from academic investigators and industry.  Mr. Coles remains keenly interested in the discovery, development and delivery of drug therapies and medical devices.
