Bay Area Science Festival - North Bay 2013
Plan now to attend the third annual Bay Area Science Festival from October 24 - November 2, 2013! The festival provides a wide range of science and technology activities – lectures, debates, exhibitions, workshops, etc. – at a variety of locations throughout the Bay Area. The goal is to get kids excited about careers in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM). The North Bay Discovery Day will be on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds in Santa Rosa.
Last fall, Discovery Day at the Sonoma County Fairgrounds in Santa Rosa was a major highlight of the week-long festival. Over 7,000 people attended and launched catapults, ate liquid nitrogen ice cream, interacted with an emergency room patient robot, extracted strawberry DNA, learned about solar energy and the sun, and much more. Check out the photo album for highlights, and who won the art contest!
The Buck Institute is a partner of the Bay Area Science Festival (BASF) and is playing a key role in coordinating activities in the North Bay. Agilent Technologies is the North Bay Discovery Day host. If you're interested in becoming a sponsor, please go to the main Festival Sponsor webpage for more information.
